When it comes to Physical Education, many people have a biased outlook on the subject. Despite what people think it isn't just about playing games. Physical Education and the arts get budget cuts before other subjects do because they are deemed not as important. Physical Education does more than you know and a few websites will be at the bottom of this page for some information.

True Friendship
Megan Leavey by Gabriela Cowperthwaite, was about a Corporal in the Marine Corps. Her name was Megan. She was a sort of troubled person who was trying to escape her current life at home by joining the Marines. Her career started off tough but when she got assigned to help out with the dog trainers, she had found her calling. She ended up training an aggressive dog and grew close together. They worked together to sniff out weapons and IEDs overseas. When she got out of the Marines she wanted to adopt him but Rex ended up going on another deployment without her. She tried desperately to find out about him and adopt him. In the she ends up getting him and spending the rest of her time with him until he passes. I think this was movie was about friendship and finding a calling in life. Megan didn't really have anything going for her before she found Rex and was committed to training him. They both saved each other in my opinion.
I really enjoyed this film because its an inspiring true story. The work that Megan had to put in before she could even be allowed to train a dog was motivation enough. Then once she gets Rex, you get to see them bond throughout the entire movie and that was really something to see. Not only does the movie had a lot of emotion, but it has a few intense scenes of action where they are in action and you get to really see what they went through.
My personal interests of me liking dogs or myself being in the military may have biased my view before I saw the movie. I think that anyone who would see this movie though could relate to it on some level and feel for what they went through.
Overall I think it was a great movie. If you like military movies, dogs, or friendships, you should watch this movie because it combines all three. Definitely opened my eyes a little bit to what they specifically have to do also.

Making A Change
Hidden Figures by Theodore Melfi, was about black women in the 60's working for NASA. These women were being limited to their advancements in the workplace and had to work extra hard to succeed in their goals. The movie shows the steps they had to take and the hardships they had to overcome to achieve their dreams. What I think the movie is really all about in the end is equality. No matter who the person is, if they are qualified for a certain job, they should be able to have the chance to apply for it. These women were just as qualified if not more qualified for the same jobs as the men in this movie, but were denied access to them because of their gender and race. In the end of the movie you see that these women end up doing the jobs better than the men and contribute greatly to the success of the missions that take place.
I really enjoyed the film because it is a true story about people overcoming obstacles to achieve goals. I always enjoy these types of movies because you get to see people not give up when met with difficult obstacles. You get to see them progress during the movie and finally meet that end goal. It keeps you reminded to always stay motivated and you can achieve anything.
My personal interests definitely helped shape my evaluation of this film. I enjoy seeing people succeed when they put the effort in. When seeing how hard these women worked in the film, I could only hope that they received the correct jobs in the end. I was also biased towards the women because of the fact I don't believe in segregation or racism and they had to deal with it throughout the movie.
